last night was my friend kristin's birthday party!! it was really fun! she grew up in long beach and they have these canals there ala venice, italy, so we went ot her parents house for a BBQ, then walked to this gondola place where they will take you out and around the canals. there was wine flowing (none for me of course, realized maybe i was drinking too much due to no job blues) and cheese and bread and the guys sang songs like that's amore!! it was an hour long and we had 2 gondolas with 14 poeople each. whenever you go under a bridge you're supposed to kiss your lova! i have no lova! so i got this guy michael to kiss me, he ripped off a piece of bread and it stuck out of his mouth and i grabbed it from his mouth and everyone cheered. i'm insane. at the end of the ride, we got off at the pier and had cake and coffee. red velvet cake from doughboys, one of the best cakes in the country, so says gayle king, oprah's best friend on the "where are the best cakes" epiosode on oprah last month. it really is amazing, like mind blowingly good!!
