so friday n ight i drove 2.5 hours down to costa mesa to see my cousin maureen and her family. they were in town to drop off their daughter at college down there, it normally should take 1 hour, but alas, friday traffic did a number on me. the only thing that made me happy on the trip down was when i saw a rich girl driving a sweet escalalde that daddy totally bought as she looked 19 years old, and she left the gas pump in as she drove away from the gas station and it ripped out of the gas pump and dragged behind her car, my car was next to hers, so i had a front row view. so i get down there, hang with the cousins, we had a great time, went to BJs pizza place in balboa, ate too much including a pizookie which is a choc. chip cookie in a pizza pan that is fresh out of the oven and topped with vanilla ice cream, it was to die for!!! see picture. then on saturday I worked out for over an hour to try and counterbalance the damage, but only added to it when i went to see "step up"with my friend jackie and we got bulk candy and soda pop, on top of that, we went back to her house where her husband made me a grilled cheese sandwich. thankfully i rocked out with her 3 year old to the wiggles and danced to the henry the octopus song, hopefully that burned off some calories.
